“How do I deal with bad thoughts?”
My son asked me…
“You know the thoughts you know are not good and you know …”
He said it with trusting eyes unashamed as he sought my response …
I admired his honesty!
I didn’t ask for more details…
He was interested in the how and not in my knowing the what…
I told him it was a challenge even as an adult…
Offered tips that I practice and share with my patients…
1. Replace them with an opposite positive thought
2. Guard your heart - no need to watch, or listen to everything “presented” to you
3. Practice meditation - Joshua 1:8
I shared one of my “G-rated” not-so-good thoughts and exemplified the above.
“I got it”
“Thanks mom”
How do you deal with your troubling thoughts?
Do share below… please and thank you!
