Me: “What’s keeping you going?”

I asked him when he came in for his follow up

Back story: He has lost 20 lbs

No medications …

Started 3 months before

Doing the things

He ate out less…

Swapped his salad dressing
And ACTUALLY started drinking WATER

as in…

He may have said he was “allergic” to it before as joke I didn’t find particularly funny at the time 

His wife was onboard

Snack choices had been modified 


They also got a fruit bowl


(Insert gasp and all the feels on this one)

He had been listening 

Apparently 

I called him out on it

“Yeah I was listening ”

He made my day… or at least part of it!

She then went on to complete a women’s health/surgical obstetrics fellowship at St Francis hospital in 2011. She is a board-certified Family Physician, Lifestyle Medicine, a HIV specialist and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
