I saw him as I was driving to work
I quickly recognized him
I slowed down and smiled
I recognized him by his walk
“Hi” I bolted out smiling
I grinned hard
He replied “doc this is is the first time I have seen your face in real life”
I smiled hard
“You have gapped tooth too” he continued
“Yes I do” (no emoticons with gapped tooth)
Turns out we both do
Maskless we celebrate in smiles.
He walks like my dad.
Almost 80.
Oh the little joys!
Of being a neighborly doc!
Gapped teeth and all.
In health,
