“Why are you reading so much?”
Homeboy asked me
Trying to practice what I preach
I’m trying not to eat so much
“Oh?”
Yeah
I enjoy reading
Almost as much as I enjoy eating
I’m not hungry but want to treat myself
So instead of eating I’m reading
“Ohhhh”
“Nice “
“How is it going so far?”
Well, It wasn’t easy at first… but I’m really enjoying it.
Still like eating but I also have alternatives.
Same thing in conversations with my clients … aka patients
What’s the next best thing?
You know… that thing you can do to reward yourself after a long day or as part of your self care
One that is independent of food or drinks
I’m practicing … so I can relate better with my clients!
You know
Because it’s easier said and done when practiced.
In health,
Dr. Olabintan
